GBIS 2014 Technical Conference


Georgia Biomedical Instrumentation Society conducted the GBIS 2014 Technical Conference and Equipment Workshop (August 15-16, 2014 at Southern Regional Medical Center, Emory Healthcare Network Member, Riverdale, GA).

Several medical equipment and management classes was presented by Healthcare Technology Management professionals for BMETs, an equipment workshop was conducted for nursing and other medical staff for skills competency requirements, there were presentations of awards and vendor appreciation hours and a time to network with others in Healthcare Management Technology.

The purpose of the event was to increase the knowledge of personnel involved in the development, selection, operation, repair and support of biomedical instrumentation in healthcare institutions throughout the State of Georgia, collect contributions for charities and operational costs.

The coordinators of the event were: Matt Farzaneh, Horace Hunter, Dr. Mike O'Rear, Christa Shiver, Diane O'Rear, Emmanuel King, Mike Clotfilter. Many thanks goes to these individuals accepting the responsibilities for coordinating this event.
